All My Children Recap Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 Greenlee sneaks in and dumps on poor little Spike!
On today’s All My Children Zach tries to get Kendall to see that her boys need her but not falling apart. Zach takes her out of the hospital to get her some fresh air and they stay on the grounds in the garden area.
Kendall needs to know that both her boys are OK before she goes home. “What if we have to bury our son?” she asks Zach. “I’ve buried one son already, I’m not going to bury another”, Zach replies to reassure her.
Zach says to her “Preparing yourself for the worst, won’t make it any easier to take. So you might as well prepare yourself for the best. Zach tells Kendall Spike will be ready to come home soon. Kendall says Spike can not go home, she cannot leave Eon. Poor Kendall!
Kendall cries that she can’t hold Eon or breast feed him. Zach tells Kendall, “You have already given your boys an incredible gift, your spirit. We’re here, we love each other, we love them, were strong, so lets do this.” Kendall answers, “Let’s go see our boys.”
Dr. Joe Martin says to Ryan, “Spike needs to stay longer. If he keeps improving they wont have to remove his spleen. We want full recovery before he goes home.” Annie and Emma set up a picnic for Ryan at the hospital, Emma draws a picture for Spike.
Greenlee does some soul searching on the beach and seems to be getting back in touch with reality. but that is short -lived of course. “My life has been about Ryan so long I’ve lost myself. I look in the mirror and I see a stranger, I finally get why everyone wants me gone, but if I leave, I can’t make things right. I want to make a difference. Maybe I’m not as important as I think I am.”
While Ryan and Annie at having a picnic with Emma, Greenlee sneaks in to see Spike. Greenlee cannot control her emotions even in front of a sick, sick child. She starts pouring out her heart to Spike, like it’s really going to help him! NOT!! I think she needs some serious meds to calm her down. Anyway, Greenlee tells Spike that she will never have a friend like his mommy again. She tells Spike how sorry she is. She tells him she hopes one day his mommy will tell him how many sacrifices she was willing to make for her. Then Greenlee hangs over his crib!!!!! She tells him he won’t remember the accident or that she even came to see him. She tells him he will feel it, “Do you know that they want me to leave town? They missed me before, even though they won’t say it out loud and they will miss me again, even if they never let me back into their lives; if you keep your ears open you’ll hear my voice.” Wow, is she ever full of herself!!!! She needs more reality checks. Up to this point I have tried to see things form her perspective, I can understand how she would want to go see him in person, but she should have stopped at her sorry, her continual selfishness is seriously starting to wear on my nerves!
She is so caught up in her feelings to Spike that she doesn’t even notice Kendall and Zach coming. Kendall gets out of her wheel chair and screams at her “Stay away from my son, Get away from my son!” Things crash on the floor.
Zach says through the screaming”Kendall, there’s something wrong with Spike” and she goes over to her crib.
That Greenlee is just too selfish. You want to feel sorry for her, and of course she wants to see how Spike is, but then she goes off in her on tangent! These poor parents.
