Annie tells Zach that she imagined a perfect life for Emma, at her prom etc. so she could cope when she thought the courts were going to take her away from her.

Kendall regrets going on the trip and trusting Greenlee. Kendall asks Ryan if he thinks Greenlee stealing Spike was premeditated. Ryan says he thought Greenlee was getting on with her life and getting together with Ryan.

Zach arrives with the good news, “The surgery is over and our baby is still alive.”

Spikes doctor comes in and checks Spike and tells them that the fever is down, so the infection is over and he is stable for now. But let him know if he wakes up.

Zach and Kendall go to visit their premature son and Zach announces his name “Eon” Kendall agrees. Zach tells her it means “God is gracious”. Kendall likes it. She says “He likes it.” I don’t want to leave you alone” she says to Zach. “I’m not alone, he responds,”I’m with my son.”

Kendall sees Spike and is worried because he is not waking up. Ryan tells her that he has an infection, but the doctors have him on antibiotics. While Kendall is visiting Spike a nurse comes in and tells her that the doctor has asked to get her to see her other son.

Erica shows Jack Kendall’s premature baby and says “Do you see what your daughter has done? Now, would you like to see her other son, Spike?” Jack tells her that they have to pull together.

Greenlee decides she is going home as she feels unwanted at the hospital. Josh advises against it but takes her home so she doesn’t have to take a cab. He advises her that her lung can collapse again. She asks Josh to let her know how Spike is doing and thanks him for everything. Jack stops in to see her.

The doctor tells Kendall and Zach that the baby has a hole in his heart and it is causing problems because his heart needs to pump blood. Surgery is imperative or his heart and lungs are at risk.

Kendall signs the consent form so they can proceed with the surgery. Dr. Joe Martin tells them the surgery does not take long. Zach asks for the facts. Dr. Joe tells Zach that if they don’t do the surgery blood will shoot out and enlarge his heart, they want to do the surgery before this happens. “The prayers of the entire hospital are with them.”  Myrtle calls Zach to tell him she is thinking of them, “It is perfectly natural to be worried, you’re a father now.” she says. Zach breaks down and starts to cry when he gets Myrtles message.

Erica tries to reassure that both her babies are strong and will survive.

Erica asks Dr. Joe how Kendall and her babies are going to be. He replies that they are not out of the woods yet. He asks Erica how Jack feels about Greenlee. Erica says he is actually defending her. Dr. Joe explains that Jack is keeping his daughter close as she is keeping her daughter close, as Kendall is keeping her children close. He says that when our children are little we put bandages on them but when they are older you still want to make them feel better. It is very touching. Erica goes to see Kendall again and shows her photos of the Kane women. Kendall cries and Erica tells her she can cry, she doesn’t have to be strong, but she will be strong for her and she holds Kendall. We are all crying for them at home.

Ryan stays with Spike and talks to him while he waits for him to wake up and Zach sits by his new baby waiting for his surgery to be over.
